SARAJEVO, 04. NOV. 2015 – The Bosnian Council of Ministers and the Serbian government held a joint session in Sarajevo and agreed to strengthen cooperation and undertake joint activities in the economic sphere, focused on economic topics, telecommunications, and improvement of transport networks that connect Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. “Further activities” have been agreed on building a 110kW transmission line from Ljubovija to Bratunac, while Serbia and Bosnia will apply together for WBIF (Western Balkans Investment Framework) funds. Banja Luka newspaper Nezavisne is reporting that the meeting stressed the need to improve cooperation in regional energy projects, environment protection, and protection from natural disasters. The focus will be on strengthening institutional cooperation by forming a number of joint commerce societies, through intensifying institutional contacts, and cooperating in investment, FDI, and export promotion. Other topics considered in Sarajevo today included the building of the Belgrade-Sarajevo railroad, the Bosnia-Herzegovina-Sabac-Novi Sad road, and other infrastructure projects, while officials also spoke about joint planning and implementation of future EU-financed projects. The Serbian government and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia in Sarajevo -Herzegovina (BiH) signed after a joint session on Wednesday the protocol on cooperation in the search for missing persons and four more agreements. Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic and BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdic signed the protocol on cooperation in the search for missing persons, whereby the two countries agreed to implement all measures and activities without delay in view of solving all relevant cases. The memorandum of understanding in export and import of armament and military equipment was signed, as well as the memorandum of understanding in telecommunication sector. The two governments signed the protocol on cooperation to preserve the Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge in Visegrad, and the agreement on environmental protection and sustainable development. The Serbian delegation included ministers of interior, economy, finance, justice, emergency situations, agriculture, EU integrations, defense, labor, and youth and sports.
