SARAJEVO, 10. DEC. 2015 – The Prosecution of Bosnia-Herzegovina decided to release from jail former Bosniak(Muslim) army commander Sakib Mahmuljin, suspected of command responsibility for war crimes and killing of the Serb war prisoners. This former commander of the 3rd Corps of the Army of the Republic Bosnia-Herzegovina (ARBiH), arrested earlier this week, has been released and his lawyer Fahrudin Ibrisimovic said he was ordered only to respect “measures of prohibition.” Mahmuljin is suspected of command responsibility for war crimes committed from July to October 1995, during offensive combat operations of the Corps in the wider area Vozuca, in which the al-Mujahideen Arab fighters unit also participated, whose members killed around 50 prisoners of war of Serb nationality.
