SARAJEVO, 03. AUG. 2016 – OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (B-H) Chief Jonathan Moore has said that the agreement reached between Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik and B-H Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegovic on a mechanism for coordinating the various levels of the authorities in the talks with the EU is not directed against the Croats. Moore said he believed that it was not the intention of the EU Delegation to B-H, or Dodik and Izetbegovic. He described as good the meeting of Izetbegovic and Dodik, the leaders of the two major parties in B-H, the Party of Democratic Action and the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats respectively, the Sarajevo portal Vijesti.ba has reported. “They did not intend to solve all outstanding issues at once. The meeting itself is important, but it is not the only meeting. As for Dragan Covic’s reaction, he as a member of the B-H Presidency and the leader of the Croatian Democratic Union of B-H, has the right to react,” Moore said. According to Moore, if Covic wishes to specify the role of the cantons in the application of European standards, he thereby represents his party and practical interests. He mentioned that there were many outstanding issues on the cooperation mechanism.”It is clear that the state, entities and cantons all have their role in that process. The EU path is very long and there are many chapters that need to be opened,” Moore noted.
